Governor Pat McCrory formally proclaimed October 6th – 12, 2013 as PA Week in North Carolina. NCAPA issued a media release regarding the proclamation and distributed it to various media contacts. PA Week was also highlighted on the NCAPA web site. Via the September issue of The Pulse, NCAPA shared a “Media Tool Kit” of PA Week resources with our members: (a.)downloadable poster, (b.) PA Week logo for use in conjunction with email signatures, and (c.) an image for use as a Facebook profile image during PA Week. The Media Tool Kit was also available through a members-only page on our web site. Special thanks go to committee member Regina L Everett-Gurley and her husband, Dustin Gurley, who worked on the development and design of the PA Week graphics for this year’s celebration. This was a midterm project for the Kinetic Typography class, in the Motion Media Design department, at SCAD. The focus on this project was motion tracking in 3D space. Footage All footage was captured based on an approved storyboard. Due to the short time frame, I decided to use natural lighting when possible. TYPOGRAPHY is a short book addressing some of the philosophical and semiotic aspects of, and approaches to, typography. The book was created with content based on lectures by SCAD professor Zoran Belic and Robert Bringhurst’s “The Elements of Typographic Style.”
